BAYThe kids will do most anything to attract my attention for a picture. They'll stuff their mouth full of mango and pose with pencils and calculators. In Bei's case, the funny hat worked.
In the case of Bei, I can personally account for the excitement a new sponsor can bring one of the children. For the first few months, he had none, but when Demetra called his name late last year to write a letter, he was as excited as anything. More excited even than for Christmas I would venture to say.
